A pet is said to be mans best friend, giving them love and happiness. It’s not possible to be in a bad mood next to a cheerful dog or a cat that is moving between and rubbing against your legs. Man is a social being, and he will not find a better friend than a pet.
The pet will never turn his back on you, and even when you are not always there for him, he will be by your side. They will not ask for much in return, but they will give you everything you need to be happy.
Every pet, regardless of type and character, wants to understand, communicate and participate in our activities. But like children who have not yet spoken, pets lack the words to verbally express their desires so they use their body to transmit a message.
Scientists have spent a lot of time trying to understand them.
Cats and dogs are brilliant non-verbal communicators. They use their tail position, eyes, and ears to express how they feel about things around them. Dogs and cats are very similar in showing their moods, but still there are some differences.
The key to understanding your pet is to start observing his body language.
Understanding your pet (dog):
When dogs are happy, they usually manifest their emotions by rapid tail wagging from side to side and their mouth is wide open. It means that they are laughing. When dogs are careful and wide awake their whole body is intense, and their ears are raised. They are very focused on what’s going on in the distance. When the dog is afraid he starts making noises and it’s really obvious something is upsetting him, his tail is usually between his legs. The tension of the body, the slightly lowered ears, and the bark, are obvious signs of aggressive dogs.
Do pets eat grass, because they have problems with their stomach?
The answer is no. Many pets eat grass because they love the taste of it, or because they feel the need for certain nutritious ingredients that are missing from the food they normally eat.
Understanding your pet (cat):
When the tail of your cat is raised and the ears are forward, it means the cat is happy and ready to play with its owner. Dropped tail and expanded pupils – this may indicate that a cat is scared. The tail bent at the top means that the cat is not in a good mood. Collected pupils – if the amount of light in the room is excluded as a factor of collecting pupils, this can mean that the cat is aggressive or tense. Slow blinking and half closed eyes are a sign of a relaxed cat that trusts a man next to her.
Understanding your pet is very important because they bring happiness in our lives. Thanks to them you will never feel lonely. The least you can do is to try to understand your pet, their body language and what they are trying to show us.
